Bihar ITI CAT Admission Form 2026: Apply Online, Dates, Eligibility, Fees

Bihar ITI CAT

If you are reading this, you are probably a student who has passed out his schooling or a parent who wants to get some tips to take admission of his child in best ITI in Bihar. Its very normal to be stress about admission procedures, and you are not at all the only one having that feeling. This is the high time to apply for Bihar ITI CAT Admission Form 2026. Hundreds of students, every year, lost out on good opportunities due to getting confused with the process or missing on key deadlines.

This is the perfect guide for you to get answers to all your questions related to Bihar ITI CAT Admission Form 2026. So, after reading this information, you will be able to learn how to apply in an easy manner without any hurdles.

What is Bihar ITI CAT?

Before we get into the forms and deadlines, let’s clear up exactly what we’re talking about. ITI – Industrial Training Institute: ITI is a training center formed under industrial training act which is best option after 10th. These are not random classes; they are designed to get you a job as soon as you finish.

CAT here means Common Admission Test. Unlike in certain states, where the admissions are given on the marks of board exams, a proper entrance exam was conducted by Bihar to make the seats in the best colleges available to deserving candidates. Consider it a level playing field, where preparation counts more than who you know.

The whole process is being handled by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). Yes, That is the same board which takes various other professional course admission in the state. They are the ones who will issue the form, take the exam, and then assign you to an ITI based on your rank and what you have indicated as your preferences.

When Should You Check the Notification?

Most people are wrong at this point because they have waited too long. Based on the trends of the past years, the Bihar ITI CAT 2026 notification is expected to be released in the month of February/ March of that year. Around three to four weeks will elapse during the registration process.

Get your paperwork in order, know the qualifications requirements, and maybe even brush up on your basic arithmetic and general info. The early bird gets a special ITI and a trade in the worm!

Who Can Actually Apply?

You must know the requirements for the admission before filling out the Bihar ITI CAT Admission Form 2026. Students who passed 10th with a good score from a recognized board can take the admission. Good trades and government ITI’s except for a 10th certificate, some trades may take in class 8th pass students.

As a general rule, you should be at least 14 years old in the year of admission. There is usually an upper age limit of approximately 40 years, which makes the courses relatively accessible for older students hoping to reskill themselves – a really thoughtful touch, if you ask me.

In the admission, domicile is important. Preference will be given to residents of the state in Bihar ITI admissions. If you are a resident of Bihar you have to show your domicile certifícate. If you are from outside, see if there are any all-India quota seats since, strictly speaking, your options may be limited by the Bihar natives.

The Actual Form-Filling Process: Step by Step

Step 1: Registration

BCECEB is an official website which will provide you with the application portal, so visit the site to register by clicking on the ITI CAT 2026 link.

Step 2: Fill in Your Details

Enter your personal, educational and contact details meticulously. A minor spelling error may lead to inconvenience at a later stage of verification of documents, so review well before you proceed.

Step 3: Upload Documents

After that, you need to upload the evidence of your application. Sign, Photo, Marksheet, and certificates (caste and domicile) are needed.

Step 4: Application Fee

Pay the requisite amount (₹500 or ₹1000) for this application through UPI, Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking.

Step 5: Final Submission and Print

Check everything for the last time. Apply. At least two copies of your confirmation page should be printed. One copy for your records, another for good luck (and a third because you’ll want it later).

After the Form: What Comes Next?

Filling the form is just the starting of the whole procedure. The admit card is issued a few weeks before the exam — download it immediately and verify all the details. The exam generally comprises objective questions from your general awareness, basic maths and possibly some aptitude relating to your trade.

Then the results come out and there’s a counseling process at which you choose your preferred ITIs and trades according to your rank. So this is very very important – check out the ITIs beforehand. Some have good infrastructure, some have good placement records, and in some trades more jobs are available than the others. Just don’t pick because you’re exhausted by the process.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

I’ve seen smart people make this mistake over really dumb things. So, stop waiting for the last minute and apply as soon as possible.

Don’t forge documents — Bihar’s verification process is strict and getting caught means you will be banned from writing any more exams. Don’t trust the random videos on Youtube or WhatsApp forwards —always verify the information.

UP GNM Entrance Test UPGET: Eligibility, Syllabus, and Selection Process

UP GNM Entrance Test UPGET

UP GNM Entrance Test UPGET is conducted for the aspiring Nurse. Nursing is a field of taking care of injured, weakened, and fighting for life in the hospital or private care center. It is considered as the most respected and important field in the medical field. If you enjoy helping people, being a nurse can provide a lot of personal reward and job security.

In the case of students of Uttar Pradesh who want to pursue this noble field, it is the best way to begin with the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma course.

But how to get admission in the best nursing college in UP? That is exactly where the UP GNM Entrance Test (UPGET) enters the scene.

If you are a student perplexed about the UPGET, thinking who is it for, for what reason is it conducted or what to prepare, you have landed at the right place. In this complete guide for UPGET, we will cover each and every information regarding the UPGET exam, which will provide you with the latest updates as well as a clear path for your career.

What Is The UPGET Exam?

UP GNM Entrance Test UPGET is a way to proceed admission for those selected candidates who prefer to study 3 years General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma course.

Earlier the norms for GNM course admission were merit-wise based on the marks a student scored in their 10th and 12th board exams in uttar pradesh. But now, in a bid to make the admissions process more transparent and uniform, the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow has been given the responsibility to conduct the UPGET.

This examination is for one time for all. After passing the UPGET, students will be admitted to any of the Government GNM Training Centers and Private Nursing Colleges.

(Latest Update: ABVMU officially conducting UPGET 2026 for the students, form portal is active from 29th April 2026 and exam will be held on 16th June 2026.)

Who Is This Test For?

UPGET is conducted for those candidates who aspire for a career in nursing and healthcare but not for 4-year B.Sc. Nursing degree. The UPGET is designed for the candidates who want to pursue a career in nursing and healthcare but do not wish to take the route for a four years B.Sc.Nursing course or are not qualified for the same.

Recent 12th Graduates: Those who have completed 12th standard (Intermediate) recently and want to enter the healthcare workforce at the earliest by opting for a 3-year diploma.

Students from Diverse Academic Backgrounds: Science students are the most preferred for medical fields, but through UPGET the GNM course opens doors for students belonging to Arts and Commerce stream too to apply for the same if they have English as one of the core subject and other minimum percentage bar is met.

Registered ANMs: Registered Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) who wish to upgrade their qualification and career path can take this exam to shift to the higher GNM post.

Why Is The UPGET Conducted?

You may be thinking why an additional entrance examination is necessary when 12th-board marks are already there. Changing from a merit-based system to an entrance-exam system (UPGET) went through for several very compelling reasons:

  • Different education boards (CBSE, ICSE, UP Board) follow their own set of marking schemes. Some are very strict, some a bit lazy. UPGET is a fair examination where all candidates are assessed on the same question paper.
  • Nurses are going to deal with human lives. The government also wants to test students for a basic proficiency in science, logical thinking and English before they can enter government-run hospitals and the best private ones.
  • Students though would no longer have to run from private college to private college seeking to pay heavy donation fees, UPGET ushers a system of centralized counselling. You appear for one exam, get one rank and then you choose your college online on the basis of merit.

Eligibility Criteria For UP GNM Entrance Test UPGET

  • You must be above 17 years old and have no max age limit for this exam.
  • Intermediate passed candidates are eligible for this exam, with above scoring of 40% marks.
  • You must know basic English or study it as a subject in 12th.

Alternative Eligibility for ANMs

If you have passed the vocational course of ANM with a minimum of 40% marks or if you are registered as ANM and have qualifying marks, then you can apply for the UPGET.

Citizenship

Only Indian citizens are eligible for this exam. Possession of a valid Uttar Pradesh domicile certificate also assists in availing the benefits of state-sponsored reservations (SC/ST/OBC/EWS).

Syllabus: What To Study For UPGET?

The good thing about UPGET is that the syllabus is manageable, as opposed to NEET. It evaluates your fundamentals. Try each question (100 MCQs) as there is no negative marking.

Syllabus breakdown for right preparation:

1. General Science (Class 10th Level)

Basic aspects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology are discussed in this section. Nurses therefore understand the human body and chemicals at a fundamental level, so focus heavily on Biology (human anatomy, diseases, nutrition, cells) with a bit of basic Physio as well.

The questions on physics and chemistry are very basic—like motion, light, simple chemical reactions, and acids/bases. NCERT Science textbooks from Class 9 and Class 10 are very helpful to prepare yourself.

2. English (Class 12th Level)

A nurse needs to read medical charts, know what a prescription says and talk to people. Basic grammar rules, vocab, syno/anto-nyms, and correcting the sentences basically checks your ability to check the fundamentals of English.

3. General Knowledge & Current Affairs (Class 12th Level)

This part tests your general knowledge. It is on basic Indian history, geography, civics and some of the major current affairs(especially in health, science, and national news). Specially focus on healthcare schemes launched by the UP Government and the Central Government that are currently in progress.

Passing Marks & Required Score

Due to no negative marking for the UPGET exam, the average marks are on the higher side. But the criteria vary for the Government College and for a Private College.

There are required marks for the admission, 50% for Unreserved/General categories candidates and 40% for those who belong to SC/ST/OBC category.

You need to secure a seat with a higher score, Out of 100, aiming for a score of 75 to 85+ to take a chance. Private institutes will take you if you pass the cutoff marks along with the counseling process.

Step-by-Step Selection Process

Step 1: Candidates should visit the ABWMU Official website when the notification is out (Expected in April/May). You have to register, mention your personal and educational details, upload a live photograph and signature and pay the examination fee.

Step 2: Admit cards are mandatory as they act as an entry card in the examination. Candidates need to download them when the official release is declared a few days before the exam and visit their allotted examination center.

Step 3: The results will be declared by ABVMU on their portal. According to the scores, a state-wide Merit List is formed. Your position in this list is everything.

Step 4: Qualified applicants will apply for online counseling. You need to fill your “Choices” (Colleges you want to opt in the order of preference).

Step 5: Your college will be allotted to you on the basis of your rank, category and the options submitted. You have to accept the seat and then go to the college along with your original documents (12th mark sheet, Aadhar Card, Caste Certificate, Domicile) for verification and submission of fee.

What to Do If You Don’t Clear UPGET?

Failing an entrance exam can seem like the end of the world but in medicine, setbacks are par for the course. You have plenty of good backup options if you don’t get a high enough score for admission:

  • Take a Drop and Re-attempt, a dedicated 6-month preparation plan will almost guarantee a great rank next year.
  • You can also consider a 2-year ANM diploma course which is actually easier to get into.
  • There are other diploma courses which are highly demanded and are offered by the UP State Medical Faculty, including D.Pharma, DMLT, X-Ray Technician, or Physiotherapy.
  • If you are willing to pay a slightly higher fee, you can approach private institutions directly to inquire if they accept direct admissions without a top UPGET rank

Conclusion

The UP GNM Entrance Test UPGET is a big chance for the one who wants to make career in nursing and serving the people in the state of Uttar Pradesh. As the state government switches to entrance test system, it would now be merit-based and allowing students from diverse background to compete and make it to the top nursing institutions.

The way to success in UPGET is to know the syllabus, read the basic 10th science, refresh your English and keep updated with GK.

What Is Distance Education? Benefits, Learning Programs, and Career Opportunities

what is Distance Education

Distance Education offers a degree without attending regular classes which makes it easier for students who are working professionals, homemakers or living abroad. Sometimes it’s hard to keep your study going with any of these circumstances, so Distance Learning is the best option to learn and grow in your interested career. But you must understand it properly before applying for it.

In this guide, we’ll learn about distance education, is it meaningful or not, which programs are worth your time, and where it can take your career.

What Is Distance Education?

Distance education is a different way of learning the same curriculum as in regular studies. In this mode, you must become responsible for your studies and exams because nobody is going to push you or motivate you for it. Students and Instructors are physically separated from each other but connected through online groups. All the lecture videos, study material, and exams conducted on a digital platform in Distance education.

This concept was practiced back in the days when universities began offering correspondence courses through postal mail. But everything becomes so quick and easy by accessing the internet. Now, distance education is backed by the government and offered undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate.

“Distance education is not about removing the classroom — it’s about removing the barriers that stop people from entering one.”

Distance Education vs. Online Education

Some people think these are the same but both have differences. Distance Education is a bigger level learning concept which includes proper online classes, various courses, and hybrid modes.

Meanwhile, Online education is free and paid both, but it delivers lessons online only live or pre-recorded lectures.

In India, institutions like IGNOU offer recognised distance education degrees that are accepted the same as regular university degrees for most government and private sector jobs.

How Does Distance Education Work?

At its core, attendance won’t matter so you can study in your free time. You must know how typical distance education journey works:

Enrollment & Study Material

Students enroll online or through physical study centres. After admission, they receive study material access with downloadable PDFs and e-books. The material is designed in a way that anyone can understand easily and learn independently, without a teacher explaining every concept in real time.

Learning Platforms & Digital Tools

Most modern distance education programs now use a Learning Management System (LMS) — platforms like Moodle, Blackboard, or custom university portals. These platforms host video lectures, assignment portals, notice boards, and sometimes even live sessions with faculty.

Assignments & Exams

Students submit regular assignments and Term End Examinations online or designated exam centres. Online proctored exams are also available in many courses which allow students to complete from anywhere.

Contact Sessions & Study Centres

Some programs include optional or mandatory contact sessions — short workshops or doubt-clearing sessions held at study centres. These are especially helpful for subjects requiring practical training or face-to-face interaction.

Benefits of Distance Education

There are many benefits for students who take a distance education degree when it’s hard to get a regular one. This is a smart choice for millions of students:

Flexibility in Schedule: Open study material and start studying at your own free time. No need to rush for 8’o clock class.

More Affordable: Regular degrees are more expensive than Distance degrees. No hostel fees, no transport costs, fewer hidden expenses.

Access from Anywhere: Many top universities offer distance courses which are valuable in your career. And it can be accessible from anywhere.

Work While You Study: The biggest benefit of distance learning is that working professionals can earn a degree without quitting their jobs.

Wide Course Selection: From graduation in B.Com to Masters in MBA, there are hundreds of programs are now available in distance mode.

Recognised Degrees: UGC-approved distance degrees are recognised by employers, government bodies, and higher education institutions.

Benefits for Working Professionals

One of the biggest wins of distance education is for people already in the workforce. People who want to level up their position in a multinational company or government sector, they need a masters degree but can’t leave their jobs. So, Distance Education offers them a chance to upskill themselves in their profession. To switch industries, or add a specialisation — all while holding down a full-time job.

There’s no age bar in most programs, no pressure of daily attendance, and no commute to manage.

Even skilled students can take a degree while working in PR agencies, digital marketing firms, and content creation for switching to other companies.

Freelancing & Entrepreneurship

Distance education is ideal for graphic design, digital marketing, content writing, and event management jobs as it provides a certificate to add value in your resume for getting freelance work and launching small businesses.

Tips to Succeed in Distance Learning

Distance education gives you freedom — but with freedom comes the responsibility of self-discipline. Here’s what actually works:

Set a Fixed Study Schedule: Take your time for studies daily and stick to it. Even two focused hours a day will take you far over a semester.

Don’t Wait for the Last Minute: Don’t wait for the exam dates, stay consistent and complete your entire study material until exams are around the corner. Break your syllabus into monthly and weekly targets from day one.

Use Online Communities: Join other students online through college groups for exchanging notes and guidance. You’ll find past papers, important updates, and peers who are going through the same journey.

Take Advantage of Contact Sessions: Some programs offer saturday and sunday classes, go and join if you are free or through an online platform. Clear your doubts and seek opportunities.

Supplement with Online Courses: Platforms like Coursera, Simplilearn, and Swayam offer free courses that perfectly complement most distance education syllabuses. Pairing your degree with relevant certifications makes your profile significantly stronger in the job market.

Conclusion

Distance education is no longer a Plan B. For millions of students such as working professionals, homemakers, students in remote towns, and people switching careers — it is the most practical, accessible, and respectful route toward a degree and a brighter future.

The world is changing rapidly. Skills are more important than ever and the good news is that you don’t have to be in the right city or have the right amount of time to access “high-quality” education anymore. Distance learning has flung those doors wide, you just have to walk through them.
