Who Can Fill the NTA UGC NET JRF Online Form

The basic requirement is a Master’s degree or equivalent. General, General-EWS and unreserved candidates need at least 55% marks, without rounding off. OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD/PwBD and third-gender candidates need 50%.

Final-year Master’s students and those awaiting results can apply too. They are admitted provisionally and get JRF or Assistant Professor eligibility only after passing with the required percentage.

Age matters only for the fellowship. Upper limit for JRF — 30 years

Age relaxation of OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD/PwBD and third-gender, women, and experienced get 5 years. An LL.M. degree earns 3 years. Assistant Professor eligibility and Ph.D. admission have no upper age limit.

NET is not a recruitment drive, and there is no fixed vacancy count. NTA qualifies roughly 6% of the candidates who appear for Assistant Professor eligibility. Within that group, the JRF cutoff is higher, so a “pass” can still leave you without the fellowship.

JRF Online Form Fees

General/unreserved₹1,150
General-EWS and OBC-NCL₹600
SC, ST, third-gender and PwD/PwBD₹325

The fees will not be refunded by NTA once the form is filled and submitted successfully. So fill carefully and don’t try to fill at the last minute.

How to Fill the NET JRF Online Form

  1. Start on ugcnet.nta.nic.in and open the December 2026 application link.
  2. You need a mobile number and email that belong to you, since NTA sends all communication there, along with your Master’s marksheet.
  3. Registration now runs through the Meri Pehchaan (National Single Sign-On) platform, so create or log in to that account first.
  4. Enter your personal and educational details, upload a live photograph and signature, review everything, pay the fee, and submit.
  5. Download the confirmation page and keep it. You’ll need it later.

Keep your documents ready before you begin:

A photograph of 10-200 KB showing about 80% of your face, ears included, on a white background is required. The signature file must be 10-50 KB. Category or disability certificates go in as PDFs, and the disability certificate must be 50-300 KB. Rejected uploads are the commonest reason for a stalled form, so resize files before you start.

Documents and payment must be submitted carefully without any error. Only completing Step 1 and 2 leave your application ignored.

Exam Pattern and Preparation

The question paper has two parts. One part is covered with common questions to access the knowledge and research of teachers. There are a total of 50 questions that come from aptitude, reasoning, reading comprehension, and general knowledge. The second part is covered with 100 questions from the subject you select. There is no negative marking so don’t leave the question and the test is worth 200 marks altogether.

If you wanna finish in time then try to solve each question in 72 seconds. Check previous year papers and practice mock tests because it will increase your time to solve one question. You will get only 180 minutes for this paper.

Government Jobs After Graduation in India: Complete Guide for 2026

Government Jobs After Graduation in India Complete Guide for 2026 Most of the students join the corporate sector but private jobs won’t provide security, high-salary, and additional perks which the government sector offers to the employees. But position matters in government jobs too if you have a higher position in the department, your salary will be more and other perks. There are many government jobs after graduation in India in the different departments. But you must understand which department suits you best. Let’s look into the details of each government job after graduation. Don’t rush, just focus on what you want to achieve in life. Why Government Jobs Still Matter People who spent years working in a public sector bank or Ministry of finance described that money attracts you but the major reason is you never have to worry about if you’ll have a job next year or not. If you watch it closely, you are going to understand — A government job in India isn't just a paycheck. It comes with job security that private companies rarely match. It comes with a pension through the National Pension System, so the years after retirement aren't a financial scramble. Government jobs offer fixed working hours, but there are exceptions. Defence and UPSC is tougher and no fixed hours. Most jobs are not that tough so you can give time to your family. In India, society gives more respect to government employees than private employees. There is one more thing, if you belong to SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories, government recruitment includes reservation benefits that make the competition a little more balanced than it is in the open private market. None of this means government jobs are easy to get. But it explains why so many students keep this door open, even while exploring others. Government Jobs After Graduation in India There is no one big exam for a government job, it gives you job security and high salaries that makes it tough to compete with lakhs of students and being selected. In Finance and Accounting Department IBPS conducts the PO and Clerk exams for most public sector banks, while State Bank of India runs its own separate recruitment for similar roles. You don't need a specific stream unless the job itself is technical, like engineering posts in SSC JE or RRB JE, which obviously expect an engineering background. Most exams accept candidates roughly between 18 and 32, though SC, ST, and OBC candidates usually get age relaxation, and the exact numbers shift slightly from year to year. You also need to be an Indian citizen for nearly all of these roles, and for defence or paramilitary jobs like CDS or RPF, there are physical fitness standards on top of everything else. Never assume for the exam updates. Dates are extended sometimes and shifts every year. Every government organization publishes its own official notification that declares eligibility and process. Rules shift slightly year to year, so do not rely on people’s words or what happened last year. How the Application Actually Works Once you decide which field you are going to join, you have to figure out the process itself, which felt confusing the first time but became simple once he broke it down. It starts with tracking official notifications. Websites like ssc.nic.in, ibps.in, rrbcdg.gov.in, and upsc.gov.in post recruitment notifications which include detailed instruction and a timeline to open the portal where you can apply. It happens every year, so checking them regularly matters. Once a notification drops, the first step is registering online, usually with just a mobile number and email. Then comes the actual application form, where personal details, educational background, category, and post preferences need to be filled in carefully. Remember that correction windows are short, so a careless mistake here can follow you for the whole process. After that, documents like your photograph, signature, and category certificates need to be scanned and uploaded. Then there's the application fee, though SC, ST, PWD, and female candidates often get a waiver or discount here. Once everything is submitted, the admit card becomes available a few weeks before the exam date, and then it's just down to showing up and going through whatever stages that particular exam has, whether that's a single test or a longer chain of prelims, mains, and interview. How To Prepare For Government Exams Once you know that these exams exist doesn’t mean you are fully prepared for it. You need to read the syllabus properly instead of skimming it. Every exam leans on a mix of Current Affairs, Simple Mathematics, Logic and Reasoning, and English or Hindi, but the weight given to each section changes depending on the exam. After you study the topics of a specific exam, check previous year papers, not to memorize answers, but to understand the pattern, the difficulty level, and how questions are usually framed and paired with regular mock tests. This technique will teach you how to manage time under pressure, since most of these exams are brutally time-bound. Make Current affairs a daily habit too, especially since banking and SSC exams lean heavily on it. If your exam has more weightage on Current Affairs then prepare well for it day-by-day. What made the real difference, though, was a basic timetable. Not a rigid one, just something that kept you showing up every day instead of cramming in bursts. And you had to decide between coaching and self-study. Most students who cracked their exams recommend choosing both. As some subjects are hard that need guidance and some are easy, you can prepare it by yourself. There's no universal right answer here. It depends on how you learn best. Common Mistakes Students Should Avoid For decades, students have been doing wrong while preparing for the government exams which can be put away and made aware future generations to stop going wrong. Some students put all their effort into one single exam and ignore everything else, which is risky given how competitive these exams are. Others miss notification deadlines simply because they weren't checking regularly. A lot of students skip mock tests entirely, only to be blindsided by time pressure on the actual exam day. And many treat current affairs as optional, which costs them marks in exams where it's actually a major scoring section. Conclusion There are massive numbers of vacancies every year in government jobs after graduation in India. If you also finish your college this year or previous year, you can apply for any of the jobs which fits into your profile. Government Jobs After Graduation

RRVUNL JE, Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026: Dates, Eligibility, and Exam Pattern

RRVUNL JE, Junior Assistant Recruitment

If you’ve been waiting for the Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited to open the portal for candidates to apply for RRVUNL JE, Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026. Total vacancies are 2,005 which will be after the test on various positions including Junior Engineer, Junior Accountant, and Junior Assistant / Commercial Assistant-II. The timeline ends on August 25,  2026 but you have plenty of time from August 5 to apply.

RRVUNL JE, Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026 Short Notice Detail

RRVUNL has issued a short notice for the recruitment of posts in Five Rajasthan Power Utilities, namely, RVUN, RVPN, JVVN, AVVN, and JdVVN. Under Advertisement No. RVUN/Rectt./2026-27/01, the notification includes three types of posts – Junior Engineer (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical), Junior Accountant, and Junior Assistant/Commercial Assistant-II.

The 2,005 figure is the combined total across all three; the post-wise and utility-wise split hasn’t been published yet and is expected with the detailed notification. If Junior Assistant is your target, keep an eye on that breakdown before you start serious preparation.

Who Are Eligible For This Recruitment

For the Junior Assistant / Commercial Assistant-II post, the qualification bar is straightforward: graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. No specific subject requirement, which is exactly why this post draws such heavy competition every cycle — it’s open to arts, commerce, and science graduates alike.

Age will be calculated as on January 1, 2026, and the usual government relaxations for reserved categories will apply. The exact minimum and maximum age limits for this cycle hadn’t been confirmed in the short notice at the time of writing, so don’t lock in your eligibility assumptions from last year’s cycle — wait for the detailed notification before you rule yourself in or out.

Treat everything from the detailed notification as the final word — short notices exist to give candidates a heads-up on timelines, not to lock in every eligibility detail.

The selection process — two phases, no interview

RRVUNL has kept this refreshingly simple: there’s no personal interview for these posts. Selection comes down to a written exam followed by document verification, and for Junior Assistant specifically, a second phase most candidates underestimate.

Phase-I is a computer-based test (CBT) — objective-type multiple choice questions, carrying 40% weightage in the final selection.

Phase-II is a Computer Proficiency Test: typing speed and efficiency checks in both Hindi and English. This phase carries 60% weightage — more than the written exam itself.

That weightage split is the single most important thing to internalize if you’re serious about this post. A lot of candidates pour every hour into GK and reasoning practice and treat typing as an afterthought to sort out “closer to the date.” For Junior Assistant, that’s backwards. If your Hindi and English typing speed isn’t already exam-ready, start now — it’s worth more to your final score than the written paper.

What The Written Exam Actually Tests

The Phase-I paper for Junior Assistant and Commercial Assistant-II covers five areas: General English, General Hindi, Reasoning and Mental Ability, Mathematics, and General Knowledge & Everyday Science. It’s a 120-minute objective paper with negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer, so accuracy matters as much as coverage — guessing blindly on a paper with this negative marking structure can cost you more than it earns.

The reasoning section leans on standard topics: number and letter series, coding-decoding, analytical reasoning, mirror images, and clock-based questions. Maths covers the usual government-exam staples — simple and compound interest, time and work, time and distance, HCF-LCM, ratios, and simplification. Hindi tests grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and muhavare (idioms), while English mirrors that at a similar difficulty level. None of this is unfamiliar territory if you’ve prepared for any state-level clerical exam before — the syllabus is conventional, which makes cutoffs high and margins thin.

Salary and Pay Structure

RRVUNL has confirmed a starting salary around ₹33,800 per month for Junior Engineer posts, paid under the Level 10 pay matrix, along with Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, and medical benefits. What hasn’t been separately confirmed yet is the exact Junior Assistant pay figure — most of what’s public so far centers on the JE post.

Until it’s specifically stated in the detailed notification of RRVUNL JE, Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026, don’t presume Junior Assistant gets that salary too; in most of the state power utility recruitments, Junior Assistant and Junior Engineer have different pay levels.

How To Apply For RRVUNL JE, Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026

Applications go through the official RRVUNL/Rajasthan power utilities recruitment portal once it opens on August 5. The process of RRVUNL JE, Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026 follows the standard pattern:

Register first then login using User Id, Password along with Captcha, enter required details for education and personal information, photograph and signature in the prescribed format, pay the processing fee and submit the online application.

Keep scanned copies of your graduation certificate, category certificate (if applicable), and ID proof ready in advance — form-filling day is not the time to be scrambling for document scans.

How to Prepare For The Exam

With the RRVUNL JE, Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026 application window closing August 25, here’s the realistic sequence:

  • Verify your eligibility against the detailed notification the moment it drops, complete your form early rather than in the last 48 hours.
  • Start splitting your prep time between the written syllabus and typing practice from day one — not after Phase-I is behind you.
  • Given the 60% weightage on the Computer Proficiency Test, candidates who start typing practice late are competing at a real disadvantage against those who’ve been building speed for weeks.

That’s the edge worth building now, while the form is still open.

Conclusion

RRVUNL JE, Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026 is a golden door to get recruited in the state of Rajasthan with five power utilities. Junior Assistant aspirants must note that though the written exam is important, the Computer Proficiency Test has a weightage of 60% and therefore, typing speed and accuracy are as important as the subject knowledge.

The end date for submission of the online application is 25.08.2023, so complete the registration process before that date. Stay tuned for detailed notification of each post-wise vacancy and eligibility criteria. Start preparing for both the tests from day one to get a better chance of selection.
